A&P 102 Online

Published

Has anyone taken a&p 102 online through ivy tech? I signed up for the summer class and I was just wondering how difficult this is going to be, or if anyone had any positive/negative feedback.

Thank you :nuke:

I took 102 online last summer while working full time and I was MISERABLE. I worked so so so so so hard for that class, maybe 6 hours a day every day and it was just so hard to teach everything to myself. If you get less than a 65% on the final exam, you FAIL the class no matter what your mathematical grade is. I passed the class with an A by two points, but I think at least half of my class failed it.

The worst part of the class is that I don't feel like I really learned and retained anything, and that might upset me the most. I'm in APHY 201 now and there's stuff that I should know from 102 and I don't remember it at all.

I would never ever recommend taking it in summer time, especially if you have to work full time.

I am taking it this summer, I have no choice because I need it to be able to apply for next spring. It will be the only class I take and I don't work so I hope it will be okay. I am actually taking 101 online right now and am doing fine in it so far.

csab - I think taking it in a regular semester vs a shortened summer semester would make a huge difference. I don't think it'd be as bad in a regular length semester.

Yeah so far 101 online has been okay for me. I wish I didn't have to take 102 over the summer, but I do. Oh well.

I am taking 102 right now. Since my instructor is an idiot...I wouldn't mind doing the lecture portion online but definitely NOT lab. Can you do a hybrid course where you only have to go in for lab? They make a huge deal at the beginning of the semester telling you that its nothing like 101. Its not and I promise that. There is SO much more critical thinking and its not strictly memorization. Thinking back, 101 was a breeze. Good luck!

I am signed up for this summer in Kokomo online, but Terre Haute has openings and I hear the TH is easier, does anyone know anything about kokomo?
