A&P....love it or hate it?

Published

I have loved every minute of my A&P classes and am a little sad that it will be ending soon, although it seems that I can never study enough (to thoroughly learn the material, not just do well on exams). Everytime I review my notes or book, I notice something I missed, forgot, didn't remember, or don't quite understand.

But now, it's time to move on to bigger and better things. Patho's next, just before nursing school. I can't wait!! :)

I am an A&P nerd!! I absolutely love it!! I'm serious. I have a mad love for it lol. I even review it whenever I have spare time.

love it! i love knowing how everything works...i think my favorite word is "why?"

So you finished 1&2 in A&P??? Did you have to take Micro?? That's awesome that you're done. Yes, it's truly been a journey thus far. All the while I'm enjoying all the learning sometimes I'm trying my best to understand for the test and not getting the most enjoyment of learning the subject. The body by far is truly amazing to me. :)

I wish I could love it! LOL Rather, it's a love/hate relationship...

I wouldn't say I 'love' it..more like a grade school crush ;)

I also have love/hate relationship, I'm in the last couple of weeks of A&P 2 and I will miss my lecture professor who I've taken for both 1 and 2 (brilliant woman who loves to teach and it shows). Absolutely love her!

I HATE the lab section of A&P (this semester anyway). The 'teacher' (use that term loosely) doesn't want to be there and it's vary apparent. A feeling shared by everyone unlucky enough to have this person as the lab instructor. However, I worshipped my A&P 1 lab instructor, another keeper! But this semester...HATE lab!

I really like my teacher or AP and enjoy the classes. I think though it seems a bit slow. I was looking forward to taking AP 2 in the summer for the increased pace but I won't be able to do so.

I'll be done with A&P II in a few weeks, then I'll be taking Micro & Patho in the fall. I'm not really looking forward to Micro, just hope it will be more interesting than I think, but Patho should be fun! :)

I took Micro during our Winter 'break'. Very very accelerated class during that session. I was one who was dreading taking Micro, thought it would be boring and really hard. My A&P professor was also my Micro teacher, made it so interesting. I voiced my 'dreading' taking Micro to my micro lab teacher and she stated that I'd probably end up really liking it...and I did! I loved it. It is actually more interesting than most think.

I took A&PII several semesters ago and I still miss it. I have a deep obsession with the way the body works, all the way down to the cellular level. I wanna what and how things happen and A&P gave me a taste of that. Both A&P classes were like a spending time with my wife on our days off (which we don't have much of). If pathophysiology is half as cool, I will be in heaven.

I really loved Micro, more so than AP. I thought the labs were interesting and you get o grow things. You also get to do detective work to figure out what microbes you are given. It is pretty awesome.

I'm in the homestretch of A&P I. I love the material, I'm fascinated by what I'm learning, but I hate constantly feeling like I'm overwhelmed and underprepared. I'm not saying I am underprepared, I just always feel that way. :clown: I'm still maintaining an "A" in the class.

Looking forward to A&P II this summer, although I'm terrified at the same time. All this material squished into an 8-week course? Yikes!
