A & P II Spring 2011

Published

who all here is taking this class in the spring or has taken it already? i would love to hear about other people's experiences. i just finished a & p 1 this past fall semester and i am kind of nervous about a & p 2. so any study tips, advice, etc would be greatly appreciated!

If you were able to pull off a&p i with good grades you will do the same second time around.. Its basically the same study regimen as a&p i only that it covers different body systems, for me the toughest will be the nervous system and lymphatic.. Just because they have soo much information to retain! I never really studied off from the book always from the notes i took from the instructors lecture they basically give you whats going to be on the test, and then from the lecture i made 25-30 questions that i would have to answer from memory i would answer these question over and over until i knew the info that made me get good grades on the test but everyone has their own study habits.. Regardless i got an "a" on both a&p's and i am starting nursing school this spring jan 2011.. Yay!!

congrats to you about starting ns!! i was hoping that a & p 2 would be more of the same type of studying. i have been somewhat thumbing through my book the last few days and while the info doesn't seem that much harder, it does look like there is more info. so i will definitely make sure i keep up my studying! i made a lot of flashcards for a & p 1, but i will definitely try those tips. thanks!

I'm taking A&P II this spring, I already took A&P I this past fall. I heard A&P II is easier then I!! So if you did well in the first one you should do fine in II! :)

Two is easier than one, IMO. You know how to study by now, the amt of material is no longer a shock, the systems are more interesting, and everything comes together. You'll be fine. Enjoy your break. No need to read ahead as most A&P classes don't include all parts of every chapter, so it's a waste of time.

Good advice. And congratulations for getting your handle past the supersensitive moderators for this long!

I'm in AP II this spring. Our teacher though gives a LOT of resources. He has all of his lectures on CD, has all of his lab practical slides, cut sections, etc on CD. And gives you some clues as to what's on the test. I have one friend who said AP II was harder, but I think it's because she took it with a different teacher.

ITA on leave the book behind for right now. You're on a small break & there'll be parts of the chapter you won't even address in class.

We're ALMOST THERE!!! YES!!

Thank you everyone for your replies. Like I said, I'm not really reading the book, I was just kind of thumbing through it when I have time and pretty much looking at the pictures and diagrams. And I am definitely enjoying my break! I thought last semester would never end! LOL I wish everyone that is taking this class the best of luck next semester!:yeah:
