Hey everyone. I have been a paramedic for 12 years and am beginning to take my prerequisite science classes before entering TVCC's (Trinity Valley Community College in Kaufman, TX) paramedic / ADN bridge program. I am considering taking A&P 1 online because of my somewhat unreliable 24 on /48 off schedule but am unsure of what to expect. The only class I have taken online Eng 1301 which was a cake walk. I am certain that there will be a night & day difference between Eng & A&P.
I'd like to get any input from those of you who have taken A&P, both classroom & online, and what you would recommend from your experiences.
Thanks...EWB

There aren't many places that offer A&P online, because there is a lab you need to take along with for dissection. You may be able to take the lecture online then go on campus for the lab. I did hear of one college in the midwest that offered both online. They mailed specimens to you and you had to go into a local testing site or public library for tests. I know it is a lot more expensive online as well. I wouldn't recommed it, though. I thought it was an intense course and benefited from recording the lectures but maybe you will be fine. Best of luck. I understand how difficult work and school can be.

I would do science courses in the classroom. A&P I & II, Micro, and Chem if needed, must have a lab component. I wouldn't jeopardize my time or money if the courses don't transfer over.
