Just looking for professional opinions on wound care certification. I am a nurse and I'm interested in becoming wound care certified through the Wound Care Educational Institute. Is this a "proper" certification for nursing?

- Sep 12, '04 by sharlynnI am also intersted. In my research, I have found that some require a BSN (I am Diploma) and some are cost prohibitive. I have an application at work that looked good until I came to the $150 yearly fee. My RN license doesn't cost that much and is good for two years! I work for a small rural hospital with a nursing home. There would not be a salary increase if I became certified. I'm starting to think it's not worth it!
