I have a new HH patient who came home from the hospital on Sunday with a new Colostomy. She has no idea how to care for it except how to change the bag. She was not taught how to do anything except snap the bag off clean it and replace it. Does anyone know a website that has the information that she needs? I'm not ostomy literate and need to get that way quickly so that I can be of help to her. Thanks so much,

same website; just some nice diagrams to check out
Thanks, Found everything I needed. I was also able to contact Hollister and get an instructional video sent to the patient. Thanks again.

Also - a little hint I got from a long time colostomy patient. Use a little mouthwash at the bottom of the clean bag to keep odor down. My patient used it for 14 years without a problem :) maybe 1/2 tsp
