How many oppourtunities

I am working at a LTC as an LPN. There are 2 wound care nurses, one of the position has come open.
I have had two RN managers suggest they would like me to take the position.
I thought about maybe wanting to go into wound care before, but never mentiioned it to anyone that I was interested.
My question is how many opourtunities are there to be a wound care nurse at facilities? Is this one position that maybe I could have just gotten lucky to have started in if I take it.

Also, if I were to look for a nursing job elsewhere would this look good on my resume or would it corner me and lable me into one type of nursing.
