dehisced wound treatment

im a home health nurse, barely started approx 4 months ago. dont have a lot of wound care experience, an ive only been a nurse for a year and a half. anyways, i have this pt that had a pacemaker placed on him, and the wound had dehisced, when i first opened him to home health it was covered with slough and i decided to put pack it with mesalt and it worked great, now it does not have any slough present and wound bed looks amazing, it is bright red but has no granulating tissue oresent yet. ive only been seeing this pt for 2 weeks. question is, should i continue on mesalt or should i change the dressing...? help... oh the wound is very small, measurements are 1.5x0.5x0.2/3...
