You can only be allowed to work in Dubai once you are licensed there. Try completing the registration process for nurses first before even going there. I believe that would save you a lot of money and time. Check out DHA's (Dubai Health Authority) website first for the instructions and requirements.

Hello Aljorn, I only had a year of experience that's why I only applied for the MOH license. I didn't accomplish the verification for foreign countries and recognition of certificate. What I accomplished was the "NEW REGISTRATION" part. And then I chose registration without MOH EXAM since I am a licensed nurse in U.S. =)) So you are applying for the MOH as well? Are you in Dubai already?

I'm planning to go to Dubai once my MOH license is settled. Update is with your DOH license ok? Thanks and more power! =))

hi cool nurse i cannot send private message to your account... maybe being a nclex is an advantage but the most important is your experience.... am in dubai now and i dont have any idea regarding nursing job in other emirates...as far as i know there are 3 hospitals here in dubai under the ministry of health....1 of them is al baraha hospital...i ask the hr if i can submit my cv to them but they ask to take the exam first..hehehe..by the way have you already booked an exam in moh????? .contact me in this email aljonlatagan17 at yahoo dot com

Ok I got it. I did not book an exam for MOH because I applied for the exemption part for foreign licensed holders (US to be exact). Right until now, it's been a week and I haven't received a reply from them. The status of my application was updated though which was "payment done". Good luck on your MOH exam! =)

Thank you for responding. I have seen that they require 2 years of paid working experience for you to be eligible to take the exam. However, it is not noted if it requires a Med-Surg background. Does this mean that I can take the exam given that I hadn't had such?

Another thing. It says that the validity of the exam result is only for a year. The instruction also stated that the licensing process can only be fully completed once you have a recruiting healthcare facility fill up the required forms. According to the manual, it says that the professional himself can look for a recruiting healthcare facility to complete the form for him and finish the registration/licensing process. Can you shed some light on this. Did I get their instructions right?

By the way, how was your exam? Please update us with your status regarding this whole registration process. Thanks a bunch! God bless you :D

Yes, you need to have 2 years of work experienced to be eligible to sit for the exam. It's not stated in the dha website with regards to this specific clinical experience, but i've heard HAAD (Abu Dhabi) is doing that. So if you're planning to take HAAD you really need to have 1 year experienced in Medical Surgical but i'm still not sure of that cause i haven't taken HAAD examinations.

I just passed the DHA exam and they will provide you a letter that you have been approved for Registered Nurse and yes it's true that you really need to get an employer first for you to get the license or else it will be forfeited if you didn't find an employer who will sponsor you. Hope it helps. Goodluck!

I actually read the thread but I just wanna make sure if am understanding you all correct.. DHA prometric exams is REALLY available now here in the Philippines?

If so, did you know anyone who has taken DHA exams here successfully?

And when do we need to accomplish this Primary Source Verification (PSVPrimary Source Verification (PSV)?

Thanks by the way, for sharing what you know! You have been very kind for the hopefuls. God bless you! =)

yes dha prmetric exam is also available in the philippines, check the prometric web site. For PSV, you only need to pay for that then Dataflow will do background checking for your credential..

hi there guys! I'm a alex from the philippines, last august 2011, I applied as a staff nurse in a recruitment agency here in the philippines bound for dubai and passed the employer's interview conducted by the "dm healthcare". A month after that, I signed the offer letter but till now I'm still waiting for my schedule for the exam and its already 4 months then, but still I was not yet scheduled. Some of my co-hired nurses have already took the exam and passed but few of us still waiting for the date. I just want to ask if it is really that long to wait for the date of the exam? and if i ever i passed the exam, how long will we wait for our deployment. and lastly, is there anyone here who is working in dubai hospital now that is under "dm healthcare" ?thanks alot :)
