hey. try ABBA employment agency, just google it. they have employers coming here this month and its for direct hiring. also, is it true that i have to take an exam first before working there as a nurse?! i'm already arranging my papers and i have a relative there who would sponsor me. but i've also tried applying online to hospitals in dubai. you should try it too.

update abt exams----you will get info in the advert of job vacancy as there is no MOH exam compulsion but another exam is compulsory [of same pattern].
Almost all hospitals want BSN for an RN post.

lot of oppurtunities are coming up for nurses as Dubai will be having health care city open soon.

Also,There is big shuffel in staff as many good and big hospitals are under taken by american companies.
I personally feel -you should surf hospital sites for vacancies thru google search and do not go thru agencies.
    all the best!

Does anyone have good suggestions in looking for nursing jobs in Dubai? 13 yrs experience, Critical Care, Peds and Adult, PICC certified, Charge Nurse, Home Health experience,SWAT Nurse, ER, etc... Are those agencies that assist on CV development worth paying for? They are asking $410-$498.
    Please post reply... thanks Icare4ICU

Hello everyone, i am trying to get feedbacks, suggestions, about the working conditions in Dubai...from you guys who are presently working there. Is it worth to leave my RN job in USA? I work in NICU/Intermediate Care Nursery for 7 years. What are my chances if I want to work? Are the people biased about Americans working there? Thank you so much. Your feedbacks and suggestions are highly appreciated.:wink2:

I've been in Dubai for 14 yrs as an O.R. nurse. Im currently working here in US too like you. It depends now where do you think you'll be happy. Family wise, for me, it's better here and UK, Can, Aus. Leisure wise I prefer Dubai... If you are US passport holder, your rate is much better and higher. Hospitals there are much cleaner and wider than here. You're also required to take few hours of arabic speaking lesson.
You will also get familiarized with their systems. If you need some more advice, feel free to email me.

Thank you very much arys1075 for taking the time to respond. Your inputs are highly appreciated. Now I feel positive about my chances to work there. I have some apprehensions before...but now it has been lessened . I am a US passport holder...any idea about the rate that a US trained RN might get. What about learning Arabic...is it a lot quicker than Spanish? What about their systems? More advice please.....

Hi, during my time wayback 1992-2003, we used to receive monthly salary of 5000 dirhams (just divide in 3.68 to get USD), I have also housing allowance, transport and food allowance too. I dont know nowadays the rate, perhaps Dh6000 or more... About Arabic language, it's a must but not preferred, you must learn few basics bacause most of the local ladies couldn't speak English well... About the systems, they have lots of facilities from UK and US too, each area has its own unique methods of nursing technique. There are 2 govt systems there, one is DOH or dept of health and the other one is MH ministry of health, aside from any private hospitals. Websites below might help you:
