hello there. i'm a CGFNS certificate holder and a nclex passer however, i felt so sad thinking that i've been waiting for my immigrant visa for two years now. I'm considering the option of working as a nurse in dubai while waiting for the said visa. i would like to know if someone knows the salary rate per month of the nurses in dubai. i guess working in UAE is a good idea since i still have to wait for my visa for another year.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Not sure I understand why you have been waiting 2 years for your visa, up until last october visas was moving a bit faster than that?

Dubai rate for nurses depends on the Hospital / Facility. Starting salary for Filipino would be 800 USD per month if you dont have much experience and up to 1200 USD if you have some specialties.

It really depends on the Agency recruiting for middle east.

hi lavalin

Do you have any other info on nursing Dubai. i'm a learning disability nurse from scotland moving to dubai in april.

thanks

Look forward to hearnig more info. Do you know if there are Learning disability nurses in dubai or developmental delay nurses? Don't know which term is used. Really struggling to find out what services are available for children with special needs. ie respite services etc.

to work in Dubai one should have minimum 3yrs working exp-now most of the hospital asks for 4yrs BSN for a staff nurse post.English and working knowleddge of arabic is necessary.to work in govt one should have MOH license and to work in private[ DOH license[which u get after passing exam[maximum 3 attempts allowed]-to appear for exam u need to verify all ur nursing cert.-and license almost same way cgfns does]this is for asian graduates.graduates from UK /US etc are exempted from this exam. For the same post a local arab person gets higher salary than an asian employee.Givt jobs pay better like 4000Dhs plus but there are nurses getting just1200 dhs and working two shifts in private 4dhs=1US$.standard of living is very high.taxis are very expansive-Driving lic-is very difficult to get.Think twice before landing in Dubai if u are coming alone. If you have someone to support then it should be fine.thanks

There isn't, at present, a lot of organized government funded services. This I know because last September, several people from a local disability service organization that I work with were invited to Dubai. I was invited, too, but chose not to go. Then, the same government representatives came here to observe our services.

They did say that parents of children with disabilities often hire service providers from around the world for private duty care.

Thank you mercyteapot

Do you think this means that my nursing qualification will not be recognised?
