clinic to government hospital

  1. 0 Hello...I'm a newbie here but please can you help me..
I'm currently working in a polyclinic here we all do the work even extracting blood and receptionists' jobs.
5 mos more and my 2-year contract will end.
I'm confuse ,because even if my current work here is okay,
I also want to work in a government hospital.
I had my 2-year experience working in a government hospital in Philippines as my previous work.
But I heard shifting from clinic to govt hospital here would be difficult..
Also in terms of bed capacity I don't know what to state in my resume because even if we're catering a hundred or more per day, I'm afraid it will not be valid.
    Please help me my colleagues.
    Thank you in advance. :-)

I was also like you before I got my job here 5 years ago. I was working in a big polyclinic for 2years and decided to go home after my contract and went to poea for job hunting. They sent me to sro in makati and had my interview on same date.after 2 mos I came back to ksa in a gov hospital. That fast! :-)
Tip: some of my workmate who applied with me stated in their resume that they worked in er to get the 60% increase in their salary which I didnt know so I didnt get some:-D

Wow.. thank you so much, that's really a big help... actually I also like working in ER and pedia. This month I'm in Ob gyne dept... I ask my director if he could send me back to pedia and I was so disappointed when he didn't agree with me. He wants me to stay in GP and OB. his reasons? Coz I can handle the pressure.. tsk tsk.

Try to pass your CGFNS exam and come to the US. I worked in Saudi a few years ago, it is a scary place.

I am really curious. What kind of pay do you receive and what are your living conditions like?

    Are you asking VioletC?
Or our working conditions here in ksa?
For me personally it's not that bad.. compared to other clinics and private hospital where my friends work, I can say that our employer give us better privileges.

Yeah. But it would only be scarry if you go out.. Better stay in your flat.. Worst thing is that they insist you to convert.and be a muslim. No way!
By the way.ma'am, after you passed cgfns, what was the nxt step you did?

I was pretty much asking all of you. What kinds of adjustments are required for living and working in Saudi Arabia? I am just very curious.
