    Hello all,

I'm a current student at UWM looking to transfer into Cardinal Stritch's ADN nursing program. I wanted to know if I have a chance of getting in. I know that you have to have at least a 2.5 cumulative gpa, but are there people in the program who actually got in with just a 2.5 gpa or is that just the cut off? My gpa isn't the greatest which concerns me. I have a 2.64 currently (due to a bad first year). I'm taking the nln this Saturday and will hopefully score pretty well, I know they tell you to score above 105. Can anyone give me some advice? I'm freaking out! Thanks!

  4. Cardinal Stritch does have an orientation type thing that they encourage everyone to go to. Thought that they said 3.0 was the minimum but I could be mistaken because it was awhile ago that I did it. I have a GPA of 3.7 and scored 140 composite on the NLN and was accepted even though I turned them down and stayed with MATC.

Since the NLN is required for several schools doing well on it should be your focus. I would apply and look at other options as well to hedge your bets. It was the reason I applied to Cardinal Stritch since MATC is a petition process and I wasn't guaranteed to get in.

I definitely recommend the NLN exam prep book, it helped me a lot.
    Good luck!
