    I have one semester left of nursing school and am considering working in Madison area. Any positives or negatives you can share about Meriter or UW for new grads would be extremely helpful. (I am interested in obstetrics or neonatal units).

    I have heard good things about Meriter. I know 2 people who work there. One is an ER nurse and has been there 5 years.

    I would definitely look into working for the UW hospital. They are very open to hiring new grads. They have a new grad internship program with clinical and classroom time and nice bonuses depending on how many months you're willing to commit. Check out the hospital link on www.wisc.edu
