    Any thoughts on Madison? The col seems to be lower than it is here in Maryland, and it appears my salary would be comparable.

    Anybody from Madison here? What do you think of the city? Area hospitals? Good areas to live? Any insight would be appreciated.

    Personally I love the Madison area mainly because I find the people very nice. I have never lived there however so don't know how much help I am.

    I went to nursing school at UW Madison and am now a nursing assistant at the hospital. I really love it there, but just like any other hospital, you have to find the right unit. There's a lot of construction going on there now, so thats a bit annoying, but the nurses on my unit are all really great. Personally, I think all three of the main hospitals in the Madison area are all really nice (UW, St. Mary's, and Meriter).
