Applying to the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh Accelerated Nursing Program Oct 2014

U.S.A. Wisconsin

Published

Hi! I just sent out my application for the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh 2nd degree Accelerated Online Nursing program. If I get accepted I will be in the October 2014 cohort. I was just wondering if anyone else has applied & what your experiences are.

Oh, Wow, what an emotional roller coaster!!! So apparently, Pennsylvania is back on the list & I need to schedule my online interview. I am so surprised. I really lost hope after my last conversation with them. I couldn't believe they changed the states after I already interviewed. But I guess all that doesn't matter anymore, since PA is back on the list. So I'll have my online interview later this week, now. Wish me luck!!!

That's great! Good luck!

Did the online interview. My first 4 answers were definitely longer than the last 2. But I still think it went well. Its still just all a whirlwind because of the whole state approval thing. Anyway, does anyone know how many people have applied for this cohort?

No, I have no idea.

Hi all,

I have my phone interview tomorrow. I was supposed to have it a month ago but wasnt available so had to.keep pushing it off. I am really nervous.!! I graduated 4 years ago in Spanish and Biology. I spent two years in the peace corps after that and am now hoping to.become a nurse! Hoping my chances are good but I guess we will see. You all have a lot more experience than me. I have 1 year CNA experience but it was about 4 years ago :/although I just started working again at a cbrf a month ago.

What did you do in the peace corps? I bet some of that experience will help. Good luck on your interview!

Hi!

I just got the good news that I was accepted for the October 2014 cohort! What about the rest of you all?! I hope good things. The waiting and suspense is finally over!

Sorry to hear that. Keep your head up. Who knows what could happen! and if not, try again for May. I have no idea how many are on the wait list.

Hello all!

I am brand new to allnurses.com, and I just got the email that I will be in the October 2014 cohort! I'm very excited for the program to start and to meet you all :) congrats to my fellow cohort members!

what kind of stat's did you guys have who got in? like gpa, teas score, yrs of cna experience, etc. I am just curious to know the type of applicant they are looking for so i can improve upon my app... i might re-apply for May if i can

I also got good news as well. So excited for the program.

ces419- I had only 4 months of CNA experience and about 8 months of PCA experience. 3.653 GPA overall and about a 3.2 science GPA, I had a 92% on the TEAS.
