TEAS exam...Has anyone taken it?

by cyang86

My name is Cha and I'm a student at NWTC. Recently, they've added the TEAS exam onto the requirements for admission into the ADN program. Has anyone taken this exam before or has anyone ever heard of it? I'm not a very good "test taker" and am very nervous because I have to take the test in March and pass if I want to get into the ADN program this August. I panick everytime I think about it. If anyone has any hints or ideas on how to make this better or if anyone has taking this test before, I would surely be very thankful to hear a response.

I've taken it. It's not that bad. Get Nursing Entrance Exam by Cliff's Notes and study. At the time my school only required a 20 and I got a 68 on it. It's pretty basic but its probably easier for students who just graduated from high school.

They require it at my school too. They take your raw percent and add it to the points you've earned from your pre-reqs. I took it once before I had many of my pre-reqs done and got a 88%. Then after taking some classes I tried again and got a 91%. I was told by our health division coordinator that 95% is about the highest that is ever scored. I did buy the study guide from ATI but it was way more difficult than the actual test. If you just go by the study guide, you'll be totally freaked out about it.
