Hi I'm hoping to get this message board going again

I'm applying for the Direct Entry Master's program at Marquette for this coming Summer (2010). Anyone else? What specialization? I'm going for Health Care Systems Leadership since I eventually want to combine nursing with a MHS or MPH.

Anyways, regarding the application process, can any current DEM students comment on how long and detailed their resume was? Was yours longer than one page typed?

A career advisor on my campus told me to include relevant coursework from my undergraduate degree, but I really don't see the point because this program is designed for people from diverse academic backgrounds. Thoughts?

I am currently in Marquette's DE program. My resume was one page typed. I used my resume to highlight experiences that weren't highlighted elsewhere in my application. I don't know about including the coursework because they will already have your transcripts. If you had courses that were nursing focused or focused toward the specialty you want to pursue it might be worth including. If you want to send me your resume and essays I would be glad to look at them and give you my feedback. Good luck!

06Cali,

I'm also applying for Summer 2010 with a specialization in Older Adults (Geriatriacs). Have you completed your application yet?
