CNA jobs in Fox Cities area? (Appleton, etc)

by nickos

Hey guys, I've been considering moving back to WI to be near family and see if I stand a better chance of getting into a nursing program than I do here in OR. My concern is, "with this economy" as you keep hearing, about getting a good CNA job there? I am wondering what the average pay is for someone with approx 8 yrs caregiving (3 yrs CNA) experience. I currently work as a mental health tech in the emergency department of my local hospital and really enjoy it. I looked on a few local hospital websites and there didn't seem to be much in the way of CNA/CNA II level job postings.......

Thanks so much!

The valley does have openings. It seems that in the valley as well as green bay cna's go to other nursing homes thinking the grass is greener on the other side. Sometimes it is but mostly it is the same. It is what you make of it. I loved doing cna work but unfortunately ruptured discs in my back and am no longer able to do it. I miss the one on one that a cna gets with the patient. Look up the nursing homes on net for all nursing homes in the valley and check out their job situation. or just send them a resume. Like I said they are always looking for good cna's and from what you wrote you sound like you like what you do. good luck
