I also applied for part time and they keep a certain number of spots open for that and I don't think that many people want to be part time. It will take me 4 years, but I think that will work out best with my family. I am just thinking ahead to when I am done and want my BS. Kind of getting ahead of myself :-) Are you working as a nurse right now? Where did you go for your ADN? I never even knew that Moraine Park existed so I am hoping that it won't be difficult to get a job when I am done since it isn't the UW or MATC and I would want to work in Madison. We'll see! How long will it take you to get your BSN?
Yes I've been working as a nurse for quite a while now. Graduated from nursing school in '96 {I'm old!!!} ..its been quite a journey
I started nursing school through UW Green Bay this past fall taking 7 credits online. UW system has a program thats almost all online so thats helpful with my work schedule. I must say its been a really good experience so far. I talked to UW ParkSide and UW Milwaukee and of course UW Green Bay. The ladies at Green Bay are absolutely wonderful and very helpful. Got a bad feeling from Milwaukee and Parkside. Glad I went the way I did. It'll take me a while to get my BSN also but whats the hurry really? Unless you want it for further education like Masters or you want to get into management. I have had very little trouble getting a job because I'm ADN quite frankly I'm glad I went that route.
