Well, first of all, BSN is NOT required in 2020 or any other year.

And WGU's RN-to-BSN program has been successfully completed by thousands of practicing nurses- myself included. It's a great choice!

Well, first of all, BSN is NOT required in 2020 or any other year.

Not by law or licensure requirements, but it may be required by OP's employer. Mine is requiring all RNs to have a BSN by 12/31/2019 or come 1/1/2020, they will be terminated.

I am getting ready to start at WGU 1/1/16 and wanted to know if any other RNs have liked the program and what I have to look forward to or not look forward to.

I started WGU's RN-to-BSN program in May 2014, completed it in March 2015, and enjoyed my experience with this school overall. I loved the fact that the program was self-paced and had no discussion post requirements.

My only regret is not enrolling much sooner. Good luck to you. :)

I needed 51 credits and did it in 11 months. Some people can do it in 6 months or less depending on how many credits you need and how much time and energy you can put into it. I graduated a year ago. If they still have it, look for the RN to BSN WGU group on facebook and join it. The support, help, and encouragement is like no other and sometimes friendships are made there that are everlasting. Congrats and before you know it, you too will have "BSN, RN" after your name.
