WGU Indiana-My Degree Plan question

Nursing Students Western Governors

Published

This is a question for current students. I start Oct. 1st for the prelicensure program. I just got to look at my degree plan today and I noticed that on my transfer classes there are some that have pre assessments listed and either a performance assessment or objective assessment listed beside it. What is this? Do I have to take yet another test for these classes that I am already done with? I am so confused. I don't talk to my mentor until Monday but I am so curious!

It says that for all the classes. If it's a transfer credit, you do not need to take any assessments.

This is what I understand about the process: When a transfer course approval is finalized, it drops to the bottom of your degree plan. Even though a course has already been approved for transfer and is at the bottom of your degree plan, it will still have an assessment listed beside it; just know that if it shows as 'transferred' or 'requirement met', you will not need to take the course. Hope that helps. The mentors are great at explaining all that! Good luck. And welcome to nursing!
