Awesome!! What region of California are you in??

Southern. I'm in West Covina and was told clinicals will most likely be at Huntington Memorial. How about you?

Im nervous, I've taken online classes before and I've done well in them but the clinical part worries me a bit. I was good in my VN program because there was such a strong support system in clinicals you know and here it's different because we only have the nurse we are paired with (along with mentors).

I'm in the program now and only being with the RN 1-to-1, in my opinion, is the best thing about the program. I work for a hospital as a tech and a community college rotates at that hospital and sometimes there will be 10-12 students in that unit alone! Needless to say, some of the students didn't do much. Everyday you go to clinicals with the program you know you're going to be BUSY.

The coaches that I've been with have all have been so supportive and really made me feel confident in my assessments and over clinical skills.

I cannot not imagine getting my RN any other way. It's such a great program (even if there are some things that can be worked on like all nursing schools).

That provided waves of relief!

Thank you!

Do most of the nurses let you do hands on work right away? Or does it vary ?

One last question.... how do you manage your studies? Do you break it down throughout the day or do you block off a period during the day?

Yea, all my coaches def. allowed me to do hands on work right away. I learn more by doing so that has been very helpful. You also have your labs and skills check-off before every clinical so that is helpful.

I try to do the bulk of the work on my days off, but I do study even 2-3 hours after work. It really depends on my work schedule. The great thing about is that you can tailor your studies with your work schedule for the most part. During clinicals and labs its a bit different, but I just work around it. If I have an exam coming up I study religiously, but if its not for another couple weeks I pace myself. I give myself days off because you do not wan to burn out. Eventually you get used to the pace and the program itself. It can be overwhelming at first, but thats with most new things.

One last question sorry for the bombardment, did it take you more than one attempt to get into the clinical portion?

I saw in the acceptance letter it says enrollment in pre nursing curriculum doesn't guarantee admission into the clinicals.

Everyone in my cohort went on to the clinical portion. Just make sure you do everything that is required in the pre-term portion (finishing all classes, getting your immunizations up to date, physical, etc).

If you have anymore questions, you can always PM me.

I recently graduated from the MBA/HM at and I'm trying to get into the Pre-licensure February 2018 cohort. I was asked to apply as a continuing graduate. Anyone knows if that gives an edge or still leaves me in the same pool with other applicants?
