Has anyone done the WGU online RN to BSN program?

Has anyone taken any classes from , the RN to BSN program? It looks like a great program, but the classes are not your typical pay per class style. They go by a 6 month period, you pay a fee for that period and can take or test out of as many classes as you would like.

I also like the fact that when I told them I could not start until the fall of 2010 they kept my name and information on file and update me once a month, but are not pushing. I filled out a form for info on another college 2 days ago and they haven't stopped calling, calling, calling since. I do not like the pressure tactics. Thank you.:uhoh3:

I found a Behavioral Science program that is one night a week... I don't love classroom time but it is non stressful and I happen to love behavioral science... My friend did it... Should take a little over a year. I can then go get my masters in MFT... I really want to be a therapist... I will always keep my RN license, but I am wanting to do something a little different.

I needed 27 or 28 for the BSN and I think 55 (total - that includes the 27 or 28 for BSN) for the MSN.

Clarabella - Thanks!

Pmabraham - I took biochem at the U of MN. I took it in person - not online.

Not bad. I'm guessing I'll probably need around 30. I'm just doing the BSN. That's as far as I want to go. Thanks for the input. Sounds like it worked well for you. Needed that motivator

28 credits is the minimum. There are 10 courses everyone must take at ... I believe eight of them are three credits, and two of them are two credits. Good luck to all!!!

Now I find out after my transcript eval that I still have to take 49 more credits with them and thats including my 2 A.A.S. degrees I have, one in nursing and one in veterinary science .Aspen for example , doesn't require stats or chem and automatically gives 40 credits for current nursing license . They don't accept financial aide though otherwise Id sign up

Aspen also doesn't have regional accreditation - and part of that is probably because they don't require all the credits needed for an accredited degree.

I had to do 50 CU and still managed it in just over three months - that's probably not possible anymore, but it can definitely be done more quickly than you'd think..

You can also appeal any classes you think you have already completed.

Ok, thanks for reply, I was not looking forward to researching schools again, I just want to get this done, will scour my credits and see if I can get them to push a few more in. I mean 2 associates should produce more than 59 transferrable credits.

Vetnrse, Keep looking around, you will find a program that works for you. Do you specifically need a BSN, or any bachelors degree?

I have one associates degree and they gave me 80 credits.

Really?? 80 credits? I will definitely have to have a talk with them. You initially signed up with them within the past year , right?

And I have to get a BSN for more job opportunities
