*how many CU'S did you have remaining to graduate?

*which classes were the shortest or which ones do you recommend starting first?

*did you take the pre-assessment to see where you stand or did you go through the entire coursework?

*did you go in knowing you would finish in 6 months or was it something that happened?

*because it was 1 week over the 6 month term, how were you charged for that week?

my start date is November 1st after my appeal for my sociology class is completed and after my intake interview. Any tips or suggestions?

*which classes were the shortest or which ones do you recommend starting first?
I finished Nutrition in 3 days, Evidence-Based Practice in about a week and a half. I think everyone has to start their core nursing classes with Care of the Older Adult, so you'll probably start with that class first.
*did you take the pre-assessment to see where you stand or did you go through the entire coursework? The pre-assessment is mandatory, so I did take each one to pinpoint my weak areas, then studied only those areas before I took the OA.
*did you go in knowing you would finish in 6 months or was it something that happened? No I didn't know I was going to finish in 6 months, I thought I was going to finish in a year. To be honest, a lot of the material I already knew, hence I was able to take the assessments quickly and move through the program quicker.
*because it was 1 week over the 6 month term, how were you charged for that week? Yes I was charged a prorated of about $670 to take the last class that began when the new term began on October 1st. I finished the last class in exactly one week on October 7th.

Do take the pre-assessments (you have to, anyway) to find out your weak areas and study those areas only prior to taking the OA. When writing papers for the PA's, follow the rubric to a 'T', no more, no less. Google any concepts you don't understand and also utilize your course mentor for help. Of the core nursing classes, the longest class for me to complete was Physical Assessment, and that was because the person I was doing my assessment and myself couldn't find a convenient time to meet so that we could make the assessment video for awhile. The shortest class was probably Nutrition (I knew a vast majority of the info already). Advice to go through the program quickly? Well, it helps to know a lot of the info already, which I did. Devote at least 3 to 4 hours to schoolwork a day (I think WGU suggests at least 15 to 20 hours a week for study). I was able to do this and work a full-time job. Be confident in yourself and in your ability to succeed in this program. Hope this helps you!
