Anyone transfer WGU RN-BSN education to Canada successfully?

My husband is Canadian. I'm finishing up my ADN in the states and he wants to move back to B.C. I have to have my BSN first and want to make sure the online degree would be acceptable for my license there. I'm going to call the Canadian board of nursing but wanted to check here first hand. See if anyone has had personal experience transferring it to Canada. Thanks!

I don't have an answer for you but did the nursing board provide any insight?

As an internationally educated BSN, you will need to apply to National Nursing Assessment Services (NNAS) to have your education evaluted for equivalency to a Canadian BScN. It is unlikely that the NNAS will predict if a program is equivalent.

I am a Canadian with a post diploma BScN, the post RN-BScN program I am familiar with, contains 19 single term courses, 13 are nursing courses, 2 of which are clinical courses and 6 elective courses. The courses are 39-52 hours duration and the clinical courses are 208 hours duration.

If you plan to live in BC and there is uncertainty about an American online program being equivalent to a Canadian BScN, you might be better off taking University of Victoria's post RN BScN, online distance program. If you obtain a Canadian BScN, you will not have to worry about equivalency.

It’s been 6 years since you posted this question, but I was hoping you could tell me whether you we are to transfer you RN-BSN degree into Canada and have it recognized as being equivalent to an RN in Canada. I am a citizen of Canada but I live in the states (Florida) and plan to earn my BSN in the states but I want to go through a school that will be accepted in Canada incase I decide to move back. I’m considering .
