I have an ASN/ADN from EC and I am waiting on transcripts to get to WGU. Is it still true that if you have an ASN that you get the lower level courses waived (Micro/A &P)? My A&P has lab credit because I took them thru a CC but my Micro was an EC exam. I know if you have an AAS you have to take a few extra courses, just curious about the ASN.

i too want to know about it. anyone? - Mar 17 by kloneI would guess that if your micro didn't have a lab component, then they will make you retake it.
- Mar 17 by BeachCathyRNGraduated for Excelsior last year and start April 1st RN-BSN. Yes Micro and A&P both have to have lab-mine did and both transferred, the only thing I need is Biochem, Statistics and US History(strange) and their Nursing Courses. Start in a few weeks-ready to get going and get done!!
- Mar 17 by kloneYes, it looks like they're requiring History now with their January curriculum changes.
- Mar 17 by Nervous1I did take a Statistics course thru Straighterline so I hope I can bypass that one, statistics scares the crap out of me. My Micro was the EC exam so I guess I can suck it up and redo it. I doubt if I start before June/July. I'm working like crazy right now. Thanks for the input!

- Mar 18 by Nervous1Statistics was awful for me, hated every minute of it much like algebra. I took Business Stats. But in comparison to taking a butt in the seat or self study course, I guess I had it easy.
- Jun 6 by SbarbreI am fighting WGU right now. They are as of 2013 NOT excelsior friendly. They accepted my micro and AP in 2012 but I was unable to start d/t them losing my transcripts for MONTHS (grrrr.) So they did another transcript eval in 2013 and my micro was not accepted but my AP was. I figured, ok well that sucks but I will appeal micro. I lost the micro appeal and found out the start of college that them accepting my AP was "a computer error!" So I was ****** of course! BTW your "two" science classes of micro and AP end up being 5 classes with labs included. Pretty crazy stuff. Debating whether to ask for my money back or not....
