I worked on med/surg for 20 years. and then took a new position for 5 months and was not happy at this new position on a rehab/ ortho floor. - 0Sep 28, '03 by barefootladyBe honest. Tell them that after 20 years, you needed a change and a chance to learn some new skills. Tell them that the particular change you made was not in your best interest after all and you are still searching. Even with the lousy market in WV these days, there is work if you want it.
- 0Sep 29, '03 by Sarah, RNBScNBe truthful...that is what people will be impressed with. My last job was with in the community and I felt like a caged animal in my little cubicle. I couldn't stand it. It was hell. Office nursing is not for me at all. That's why we are in an awesome profession, nursing provides unlimited jobs from industry, hospital, community, corrections, and research to name a few. If your lucky enough...I'd try them all.
