resume questions

  1. How do you answer the questions when you are interviewed why did you quit you last jobs. ?? I worked on med/surg for 20 years. and then took a new position for 5 months and was not happy at this new position on a rehab/ ortho floor. I wanted a leave but was not granted one .

    I'd be honest and tell them why I quit my last job. You worked 20 years on a med/surg floor. That should count for something. Good Luck.

    Be honest. Tell them that after 20 years, you needed a change and a chance to learn some new skills. Tell them that the particular change you made was not in your best interest after all and you are still searching. Even with the lousy market in WV these days, there is work if you want it.

    Be truthful...that is what people will be impressed with. My last job was with in the community and I felt like a caged animal in my little cubicle. I couldn't stand it. It was hell. Office nursing is not for me at all. That's why we are in an awesome profession, nursing provides unlimited jobs from industry, hospital, community, corrections, and research to name a few. If your lucky enough...I'd try them all.
