How is the high price of gasoline effecting your life?

Gasoline rose 7 cent since yesterday in my area. I try to make every trip count, and notice the price at every station I pass, if I can even save a penny, I do. So, what if any measures are any of you taking to reduce your fuel costs?:twocents:

I don't drive much. So, I only buy gas about once every 2 months. However, I do eat -- and I see a huge increase in food prices that is probably the result of increased fuel prices. I can't say I've made dramatic changes in my diet, but I am more conscious about what I buy -- making sure I am not buying more than I need, using coupons more, etc.

I've started to watch my driving and don't make useless trips. I"ve also started driving slower to get better gas mileage.

Me too. I'm also making sure the tires are properly inflated and the recommended maintenance gets done on schedule.

I don't drive for the unneccesary trips, like the one to Wal Mart right next door - I just bring the kids and pimp them out so they carry the groceries. I drive 26 miles one way to work but I rarely hit traffic so it's not "stop and go"...lucky me I work at night. I do TRY to keep the speed under 70 but it's so ******* hard to do when everyone around you is going at least that fast if not faster. I change the oil, do all the maintenance myself and on schedule...tires inflated, fluids checked and topped off.... But these days of high gas make me want to go out and buy another motorcycle...I really miss the 50 mpg my bike got me.

I unfortunately drive 50 miles one way to work, live in WV and work in VA. I fill up once a week and spend about $50 which really stinks. But, I do buy my gas in VA because WV gas is wayyy to high. I can't even imagine how much I would spend if I filled up here in WV, don't even want to think about it.

On the other hand, thank goodness my dear husband lost his job because at least we aren't putting gas in his truck too, LOL. But he is in NJ (relocating to WV) and doesn't/didn't drive nearly as far as I do. Things are close in NJ, not like out here.
