    Are prisons considered 'federal' jobs?There is a new womens prison at Lakin, WV. I know an LPN who works there and makes $12/hr.
    Also I heard that a lady (RN) in my town travels to Columbus, OH to work and makes $26/hr.
    I graduated on 12-12-03, haven't got my permit yet, am waiting to get my ATT to schedule the NCLEX.

    There is the VA Hospital in Clarksburg, that is where I work. You can't beat the pay or the benifits. I am an LPN and make more that starting BSN nurses at the local hospital.
