- Oct 16, '08 by NorynI was offered a job there a few years ago and a lot of times I kick myself for not taking it. Very nice hospital.
I really don't think you can go wrong at either Huntington hospital to be honest. I have heard nothing but good things about either one.cpnegrad07 likes this. - Oct 17, '08 by Redneckmedic63I've worked in the ER there per diem for a little over 2 years. Co-workers are awesome, the bosses are really good to work for, but be prepared to work! It's extremely busy - often well over 200 pt/day, and staffing, like anywhere, is always an issue. They do well with trauma, and if you get an MI, it rocks - often door to cath lab in under 30 mins. The pay is good, and I always get what ever hours I ask for. But like I said - it's BUSY BUSY BUSY and can feel very understaffed and frustrating at times! I say go for it and see what you think. Like I said - it's an awesome bunch of people to work with!blueheaven and barefootlady like this.

I don't mind working, but i don't want to work crazy--like, unsafe. I am leaving a floor that has too many cracks in it for the pts. to fall thru (which drives me crazy) and don't want to get into the same thing at St Mary's.
Any thought there? - Oct 28, '08 by blueheavenCHH and St.M maintain good to excellent staffing levels in my experience. Loved working at both.cpnegrad07 likes this.
