question about the boards

by emsboss

I take my boards on Tuesday, the 1st of February . I was wondering how long it would be before I find anything out? I have heard that you can log on to the WV board of nurses and find out...Then I have heard it takes 2-6 weeks. Any feedback?????? THANX!!!!!!!

Nurse Good Luck
Hello EMBOSS,
Good luck on your boards, I know you will do well. I really do not know if you can check to see if you passed on any site at our boards, but I do know that in recent years it has only taken about a week for the grads to find out if they passed or not. I have tried to get on some sites at our board only to find it closed or empty, so good luck on checking by computer. Have you made a decision on where you are going to work? Let us know. I wish you the best. :hatparty:

Thumbs up Good for you
I hope you get the results quickly, May I ask what unit you plan on working? Do they do only 12 hour shifts? I think someone said that to me once. HCA is a big corporation and has facilities all over the nation, some are really good but others are terrible. I think males have a better record for treatment with HCA too. I know they have partnered with CAMC to start a cardiac speciality unit st St. Joe's, so if you are interested in cardiac now would be a good time to get your foot in the door. Well, good luck. Do you have a ADN or BS?

Default Nclex
It probably depends on where you take your boards. I am in Michigan, just took mine on Friday, and was able to see my results today (I PASSED :hatparty: ) My test was taken at Pearson Vue facilities, and you could pay an additional $10 to see "unofficial" results. Otherwise, most state boards have a "verify health professional license" on their websites, that you can check to see if your license # is up yet. Best of luck to you! Hope this helps!

I took my boards a year ago today and got the results the very next day, I couldn't believe it. Good Luck. Come back and tell us about your job.
