Nursing license question

I have a WV RN license and cannot find a job in my area. I live across the river from OH. Yesterday I went to a few hospitals in OH and they have some job openings, so I sent all the required forms, money orders, etc to get my OH nursing license. Have any of you done this?
How long does it take to get the OH license? I had to get fingerprinted and send them in for FBI and Criminal background checks. The total cost for all the stuff I had to send in was $150!
Any opinions on having RN license in 2 states?

I have a license in another state. It is a tedious process and then you have to wait, but I got my other license in about 3 weeks. I hope you find a job soon. I know that WV is the pits right now for nurses, even if Gov. Wise did sign the overtime bill. Good Luck. You might want to get on the Ohio site and talk to some of the nurses there and see what they can tell you.

Hi Dixie! It is Mrs. Frum. I too have my license in OH and WV. My OH is inactive right now. It did cost alot of $$ to get my OH license - I think it took about 2-3 weeks. I heard today that several new grads have been hired at CAMC in Charleston. Have u tried there? Jackson General? Roane General? I have not heard about the bonus for ST Joe's but I wouldn't doubt it either. I am thinking about picking up a perdiem position in the open heart recovery room - that would be exciting!! Just 3 more weeks till summer vacation....

What about St Joseph or Camden? Good luck in your search.
