LPN-BSN in charleston!

HEY GANG:

I am an LPN and I am currently working on my BSN.
MOUNTAIN STATE UNIVERSITY in Beckley, (formerly College of WV) has the ONLY LPN-BSN program in the state but offers classes in many different cities. Charleston, Huntington, Parkersburg, Martinsburg, Beckley just to name some off the top of my head.

I HIGHLY recommend this program.. i am almost completed and the TIME HAS FLOWN BY!...............

You attend class ONLY ONE NIGHT A WEEK! it is geared for the FULL TIME LPN wishing to earn a BSN.

check out the website at www.mountainstate.edu.

The program is called "Spectrum Health" You can also call the 800 number on the web site and ask for Billy Stone. He is one of the directors for School of Distance and Extended Learning.

HOPE THIS HELPS!!!!!!!!! TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS CHANCE!

p.s. i am unaware of any ONLINE prograqms, but you can do a majority of your work online, but need to attend class every now and then.

hope this helps and good luck!

Unhappy cost
Yes.......... the course is EXPENSIVE because it is a private college. But............ there are many financial aid options. But hey....... if you want to do LPN - BSN, this is a great way to do it for WV LPNs...

But the cost isnt as much as U.C. BUT EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just ALOT OF WORK TO DO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck, and keep me posted on how things go for you through MSU! :hatparty:

Default There are other options
Kevin,
I just wanted to tell you there are other programs in the state for LPNs to get their BSN. Aldersson Broaddus College in Phillipi has a one weekend a month program for LPns and ADN-RNs. They to are geared for working people but they are also private with high fees. However, they are here for folks up this way!

Default new program
Yes....... i recently saw this new program in the WV Nurses newsletter........ I was suprised and excited to see this option. I was only courious as to why only Private colleges/universities are offering this program and NO public institutions are offering it? At any rate.... both schools are greatly appreciated by the LPN in both directions of the state to be giving the opportunity to advance our careers!..................... thanks for the post and the update............

P.s.......... im in semester 5 of ??????????? (8 i think) lolol but it is getting super rough right now......... GOOD LUCK TO YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hatparty:
