Hey, New Grad!!!!

1. Where are many of you going to work?

2. When do most of you start?

3. Were the choices of employment as good as you hoped they would be?

4. Plans for your first payday as a nurse?

So, does the lack of response mean no one is working? Working too much? Just not interested?

Come on grads, I would think this is the time to let everyone know how great your future looks.

This is for LPN's too.

I'm applying to CAMC memorial, but I've waited a little later than everyone else to do so. They already had a large grad nurse interview, but I missed it. I'm precepting in the CCU there at the moment. Hopefully they like me enough to want to hire me. Mainly I'm just focused on this last month of school at the moment.

News Re: Hey, New Grad!!!!
Just an update here:
I had my unit interview today (SICU/MICU) and it went great . I interviewed with the dept head instead of the manager as they were busy. He basically told me I had the job. I have a few more hoops to jump through, a share time day (4H of shadowing an RN-he/she will do some evaluation) and the rest of the human resources stuff (described as a formality) oh yeah I have to pass my finals, make it through another semester, have my application for a license approved then to keep the job pass the NCLEX. This seems to go on forever. I am so eager to start and already nervous. I find allnurses.com fantastic! and appreciate all the comments and support.

Hey MrBill,
Congrats on landing the job. I know the last bit of school and getting everything out of the way to start working is a daunting task, but just think of what you have already accomplished. I wish you the best in your new job and career. Blessings.

Thanks Barefoot,
I hope I don't mess up during the rest of the hiring process! Not to mention the rest of school. I am still trying to look into jobs in FL but with the wife just doing a career change and most places wanting experience, I might just stick around for a year or two. Besides I'm more of a Mountaineer than a Bull.
