Glad you got that permit. Sorry the hubby is not well, mine has same problem and they have done all they can do also. Just try to take one day at a time. Monitor the diet and meds closely.

I read the article in the paper that CAMC and the state association of nurses are involved in a little tussle. It seems that CAMC has adopted a new employee statement for nurses. It clearly states that refusal to work overtime will result in dismissal. this is not for weather or real emergencies but staff emergencies
that the HN has determined. I don't know but I am a little afraid that they are trying to force mandatory overtime on an already overworked staff. I only mention this because of your hubby being ill and there will be times when overtime would be difficult for you to do it he is ill. I have not worked there in awhile. I know that several floors are very difficult to work and some of the HN's are difficult to get along with. Good luck on your new career.

I don't mean to sound negative, but seems like nursing is getting harder and harder, no really good jobs in sight.
