Finally, employment outlook bright for WV

Can you believe it? WV is listed as one of the top 20 places to find work right now?
Hard to believe after so many years of being among the last places to look for a job.
I have neighbors whose kids are coming home and going into mining, nursing, maintance, even fast food jobs are open. One lady's son told me he had waited over 15 years to be able to live close to his parents again and he was taking this chance while he could. What a change.

In the words of Ed McMahon, "I did not know that." Hey lady, I haven't written in a while. I am thinking of going back for some more school, maybe University of Phoenix, online. Need to find out about some help with $$. Those places are higher than the moon.

Hello Ed,

I have been wondering where you were and how the new job is going. I know the amount you spend on education is supposed to be returned in higher wages in a fairly quick manner, so maybe that will help you get in gear for the back to class thing.
How is the job going? Have you settled in and are you comfortable in the position now? I know you are busy but post and let us know how you are.
Blessings to you and yours.

WV is doing great for the most part. My area continues to grow by leaps and bounds and I think it is mainly due to our coal and natural gas industry. But I also remember the 80s when so many mines closed.

We have a great opportunity right now. There is a huge demand for our coal and natural gas. We should be taking the tax surplus and investing in future power options. We need to invest in wind energy and clean coal technology. But I think we will just see this money "wasted."

We will see what happens though, not trying to make this political but a segment of the Democratic party hates coal and coal will not last forever. But I believe it can really assist us in transitioning to energy independence (over 10-20 years).
