About the nclex test and licensing...

by Kellink

I know this is probably way too soon to ask, but does anyone know how long does it take after you take your nclexpn test to recieve your license and start working? Can you start working as soon as you take your test? Does anyone know when the 2005 summer test will be in West Virginia?

Thanks!

I took my NCLEX exam on August 4 and received my license on August 6th! It came in the mail with some other information.

Now with computer testing, the turn around is fairly quick. Most people take the test and within a week know if they passed or failed. I do not know when the tests will be given in 2005, you should be notified of the dates by the center giving the tests or your school. You may work as a graduate nurse prior to taking the test, but to be a licensed nurse you must have taken the test and passed. Hope this helps and good luck.
