Hey, did you ever hear anything about The College Network. I want to start with them on my BSN/MSN but I don't know for sure if I should... Thanx.

Has anyone heard of, or is/was in the program for either RN-BSN, or RN-MSN through The College Network? I'm thinking of doing this program. It seems reasonable and priced well. But does anyone have any insightful info for or against the program? Thanx ~ John

I would strongly encourage you to check out everything before signing on the dotted line. You want to ensure your pre-req that you test on are transferable to the state that you are nursing in. I have had a bad experience as the state that I live in doesn't recognize the study curriculum. Therefore the LPN to RN isn't going to happen....now I am stuck with an additional payment for 5 years. There is also a cavat that Indiana State doesn't have to accept you just because you are signed up through College Network.....just check everything out. Good Luck

Program is very good as long as you understand you have to put some effort into it. They don't take the tests for you. Top 5 reasons people say they were "ripped off":
1-Customer took an exam and failed due to lack of studying, blames TCN, not themselves
2-Customer blew off the modules and 5 years later, is amazed the course changed??? Go figure.
3-Customer "thought" they took a course back in 1975, but it was not thru a reginally accredited school and did not transfer. Not TCNs fault. Your fault for going to Joes Tech College in some guys garage.
4-You really have to make the payments on the loan you signed up for, thats really "ripping you off". Nice way to handle your financial responsibilities.
5-Customer fails CLEP exam multiple times and is mad that TCN won't repay them for exam fees.

To compalin too much,
The reason I was ripped off has nothing to do with your top 5 reasons. You sound like a know it all, but let me be the one to inform you, I was lied to. I was told TCN was setting up a program through the company I work for to help with the tuition cost. That was not true. I would not have signed a contract if I thought I would be paying the $6000 on my own. I was not told they are just a publishing company. You can buy these same cheaply put together binders off of Ebay for next to nothing. Once they get you to sign with them, they never call you to see how your doing with your education. I am currently getting my BSN through a real college and I do not procrastinate.

Interesting that Complain to much has 4 posts.. all of which are advocating the TCN and made within a single hour...

They ripped me off too! Had to file bankruptcy to keep my nursing license, they hired an attorney and in Texas they can take your nursing license if you try to cancel with them and refuse to pay. The people who represent them do not know about education (this came from their attorney) they are merely salesman making a buck! I have completed my education the old fashioned way with a 3.8 gpa GOING TO CLASS

Several years ago I had many of my LPN classmates tell me about The College Network however I was very skeptical and didn't sign up. After a couple of years went by I kept hearing about more and more friends, co-workers etc. that had signed up with them so I met with them myself. I have now completed two degrees, ASN and BSN and I don't know what kind of problems others claim to have had but I know I would not hesitate to sign up with The College Network again. I thought it was very straight forward and they delivered on their promises, I only had to put in the time and effort. I really wonder if some of the people complaining should perhaps look in the mirror at who is at fault cuz it really couldn't of been an easier program to follow. That's my 2 cents!!
