Some experience, but not enough. Where to look for jobs?

I am desperate for a job in WA! My husband is in the Navy and stationed at Whidbey Island. I am currently working in Oregon because I have not been able to find a job up there. We have been apart for two years now because of school and the military and I am starting to lose hope about ever finding a job up there. I have six months experience as a telemetry RN under my belt which I know isn't very much. Should I still be looking at applying for residency programs? Does anybody have any advice on where to look? It seems like most of the hospitals north of Seattle don't offer residencies, but don't hire new grads. Even the SNF's want a year of SNF experience! Also, is it true that once you get a year of experience you are actually hireable or is that just like the nursing shortage lie? Help!

I know this may not be what you want to hear, but take a serious look at craigslist.
