Quiet forum. I thought there'd be more people here applying for this residency.

Thanks for the reply! Yes it is for the Feb cohort. My situation may be different because I am out of state but I had a phone interview with the recruiter Dec 2 then another with the manager and panel last Friday and I got the offer that next Tuesday. That's strange if they are not letting people know till mid jan! I asked if I could accept the offer mid jan to give my boyfriend a chance to find a job and I was told no. I wonder why that is? Maybe to give time for WA license. I agree that it is a very quiet forum and I haven't been able to find anyone else who has been accepted into the residency. I would like to know people soon. I'm wondering also why they hired me so fast. Not complaining but it's impossible to find a job here in CA. I hope your interview went well and you get the job! What unit did you interview for (what ICU, campus?)

I interviewed originally in October with the HR Recruiter, while still a student out of state. I moved back to WA immediately after graduation several days ago, and had my in-person interview just after I arrived here. I interviewed at one of the ICUs on the First Hill campus. The interview seemed to go very well, but that's my opinion. What campus are you on? Did you get your offer by phone from the HR recruiters, or from the managers who interviewed you? I'm hoping perhaps they'll let me know soon either way. Waiting in the unknown is difficult. I know the program begins towards the end of February. Congrats on getting in!

Thanks! I'm sure they will let you know soon. The recruiter calls you to offer the job. I'm still waiting on my acceptance letter and to view whatever contract I have to sign. I'm really wanting to actually go see the hospital and unit before I sign. All my interviews with them have been over the phone so I would really like to actually see where I'll be going

Congrats CCUBound on getting offered a position in Neuro ICU!! I also interviewed with Neuro ICU on Friday a few weeks ago and was contacted a few days later about being offered a position in their Feb. residency. I interviewed at their Cherry Hill campus and was given a tour of the unit and in my opinion, I felt that the unit was older than I had expected. From what I understood, they are going through some changes and at some point in 2016, neuro will be taking over a couple of floors, not just one. The staff seemed extremely friendly and I have heard really amazing things about Swedish's residency. I met up with a friend who is in their Nov. residency and she took me on a tour of their simulation/lab area. It was quite impressive because they have an entire unit dedicated to the nursing residency with many rooms for simulations and their classrooms were very new and nice. I hope some of these points helped. You can feel free to message me or ask any additional questions and I will answer them as best as I can :)

Unfortunately, I declined their offer or else it would have been nice to also meet someone starting in neuro ICU! :)

I received an offer for their Feb 2016 cohort mid-early December. I got an offer the same day as the interview. The woman who is in charge of doing the hiring process has been very receptive to all my questions. So far everything has gone smoothly. Everyone has been helpful and they seem to be really organized.

And I agree, this is a quiet forum. They must still be in the hiring process.

Also, I am coming from out of state!

I'd like to meet others in the residency prior to the start. Will be moving to the area mid February I hope!
