Seattle University BSN (transfer) Fall 2013

U.S.A. Washington

Published

I didn't see any thread for Seattle U BSN transfer program fall 2013. Lets see if anybody else applied other than me lol..

Oh, and because my life wasn't complicated enough already, my husband's employer is probably going to be requiring him (which means us- we have a 3 year old) to move out to Washington DC for a couple months this spring, which would put us back in Seattle right before the start of spring quarter. If this happens it will be very hard to take a CNA class, and I will have to take pre-calc online. Sigh. Sorry, just had to vent!

@suzw u shuld take CNA class through these private institute. It only 3 to 4 weeks and cost is pretty much same. Also I was going through Seattle U blog from last year. They received letter end of march. So hopefully u will find before Spring starts.

Also I m going to take TEAS test for EVCC and Samuel Merritt University in Cali. I already took it once but only got 72% :(..I trying to figure out how to study for it.

SPU and UW require Ochem....

I heard from my nursing adviser that using the test booklets you can get online for the TEAS is really helpful. I plan on doing this if I don't get into a BSN program. Everett looks primarily at your TEAS score, so if you do well, you have a really good chance of getting in.

Yes! it would definitely be more effective to have requirements that are streamlined!!

Seattle U requires Math 110 (or higher) as a prereq. I have college calculus, but it was more than 10 years ago, so they won't accept it. Math 138 is EvCC's equivalent.

Phew! I was panicking for a minute. I am taking MATH 102 at South Seattle CC and when I read you are taking MATH 138 I thought I needed one more. My current Algebra class is the equivalent of SU's MATH 110. Enough with the stress!

Has anyone heard any updates on when letters will go out? I am trying not to think about it but that doesn't seem to be working... ;)

I haven't heard anything new, the transfer admissions counselor said letters would be going out end of March to early/mid April. I have always thought the 4 hours window comcast gives you when coming over to fix cable was horrible. are they coming right a 9? Or at 1? this whole waiting for a month to see if a (good) letter is going to show up--infinitely worse.

I would have freaked out too. :) So I just looked again at the equivalency list. There is no actual equivalent class at EvCC. So i was told to find the class that will transfer for a higher SU class. Looking at the list i could take Math 105, which at EvCC is Trig. but 138 is applied college algebra for non math majors, so I figure it will be pretty basic.

Does anyone happen to know how many transfer applicants and transfer spots they have this year??:nailbiting:

I just remember being told by the transfer advisor it had to be college level algebra. ????

Now someone told me they believed UW required THREE Chemistry classes. I think it's only two but the panic has set in.

Anxious for this whole process to be over and to move forward!

If you are a transfer student/applicant to the University of Washington, they only require two chem classes - so you are correct. No need to panic!!!! :)

I've been panicking over EVERYTHING, and retracing all of the application requirements to see what I possibly could have forgotten and left out.....we are all going to be nutso before this process is over.

I totally agree! I am hoping no more than two more weeks of waiting. I was trying to explain to my daycare people about the 3 different possible scenarios that may happen for next quarter. She was confused! Thankfully they are really flexible.
