by RNEdmonds Jun 6, '12Greetings!
Just moved to the Northern Seattle Suburb of Edmonds from Sarasota, Florida and I must say that I am enjoying a reprieve from the heat.
I am a recently new nurse, graduated in 2010. I have 1 year of acute care experience on a Progressive care unit, ACLS, PALS,Telemetry, Mechanical Vent certified. I'm having a difficult time finding work in the Seattle area.
I've applied to anything that is relevant to my experience. Does anyone have any suggestions for finding work. I am flexible and open to ideas.
Thanks!

Also, I know this seems basic, but I made this stupid mistake the first time I was applying in Washington. Everywhere else I've lived, nursing jobs, which are usually "0.9" employment, have been listed under "full time". Here many hospitals seem to list a full-time nursing job under "part time", just because it's less than 40 hours a week. So my searches for full time work were coming up blank.
You aren't the only one who's having a hard time. Good luck!
