    Hello All

I am moving to Washington this Fall. I am moving from SC, so I will need to apply for a license in Washington.
How do I go about this process? I have moved quite a bit, but only to states so far that were in the nursing compact. Is this process any different? I just had my fingerprints done less than a year ago when I moved to SC (husband is military) and have been working since I have lived here. Will I need to get my fingerprints/backgroud check done again...or how do i transfer that?
Any help appreciated! I would like to start this process as soon as I can.

Look on the state BON what requirements are for endorsing, usually are clear on what you need to do
  7. You mean Washington State? If you go to their BON website, it will have the application for licensure. They do not require fingerprints, atleast they didnt a couple years ago when I got my license there. You usually have your license within about 3 weeks from them. I did a travel assignment there, and had no problems. It was a quick and easy process. I do think they require transcripts if I remember correctly though.

Yes, actually, they DO require fingerprints from out of state applicants.

OP, I know this is a year old, but did you have to reprint again, or did your current fingerprint card work?

  10. Yeah, thanks. Kinda already did that. Would like to hear from people with real experiences, not predictions or estimates.
  11. To CCL RN,
To answer your question, yes I did have to do my fingerprints again when I moved to WA, even though my SC ones were not even that old. In my experience, every state I have moved to I have had to redo my fingerprints.
    I hope that helps you!

About how long after you submitted your prints did it take to receive your temporary permit, if you don't mind me asking?
