I don't know entirely what questions they may ask you since I at one time did staffing/HR for CNAs and med aides...but I can think of questions for them you could ask in addition to the schedule, pay, benefits, etc. 1. Are you expected to work on both the SNF and LTC areas? Or just the SNF area? 2. How many admits and discharges are there per week on average? 3. Any special populations that they work more with than another facility? (Head injuries, trachs, baris, TPN, mental illness, etc.). 4. How was their most recent state survey and fire marshal survey? 5. How long is the training program?
The DNS I worked with at the time always focused on time management skills in interviews and asked how you can handle multiple patients with their varied needs. Also, she asked scenario based questions, for example, what if the med aide didn't show up and you had to pass meds in addition to your RN duties. How would you handle that?
I hope that helps you! Good luck!
