WHC OR RN Bridge Program October 2012

U.S.A. Washington DC

I got a job offer for WHC OR RN Bridge Program scheduled on October 2012 as posted at their website job openings section. I am in the process of completing my pre-employment requirements and almost done. I am just concerned because I am still waiting for the nurse recruiter to confirm the start date, whether it is on Sept 24 or October 22. Last time I spoke to the nurse recruiter was Monday morning and she had not called me back yet. She said no need for me to follow up because she has to hear from the clinical educator first regarding the start date. I would really appreciate if anyone can share any info if you are also going for the bridge program and got a confirmed date already. I am anxious to know the date because I want to give proper notice to my current employer. Thank you in advance :-)

The recruiter called and also sent an email

Hey

I have an interview next week for RN residency program at WHC... what should I expect?

Im nervous and I really want to get the job being a new nurse and everything!

I received an e-mail with a job offer. I would prepare for the interview just as you would for any hospital. I found it helpful to research questions online (especially behavioral type questions) and review my journals from nursing school (so I had some examples). And of course always dress to impress! Good luck!!

Thank you so much eswanson, i will get on that since my interview is this week!!! So they dont ask clinical questions pertaining to the floor your working on, because i was going to read up on some of that!

Also to the question above i received a email to interview with me no phone call!

I also applied for the RN residency program in October 2012 and had an interview today! I think it went well, but am waiting for a job offer via email or phone call from my nurse recruiter sometime next week! I think I have it in the bag! :) *praying* :)

Hey! how long after the interview did you get a job offer via email? I interviewed last Friday and was wondering how long it would take to hear back!

Thanks! :)

Glad to hear your interview went well! It took them 8 days to get back to me. I think this time really varies though based on which unit you interviewed with/how busy they are. If you don't hear from them in 7-10 days, I think it would be a smart move to e-mail (not call-I've found the response rate is better via e-mail) HR and mention you that you are still very interested/wanted to follow up. Good luck! Sending prayers your way. I hope to see you come October!

Thanks!! I emailed friday night thanking everyone for interviewing me! I just feel that with the info they gave (salary, orientation schedule, etc.), that I definitely got the position!!! But thanks! I surely will do so! My recruiter said Wednesday at the latest! And I really hope so! So I have been waiting! :) Thank you again! And hope to see you then as well! :)
