What's the hiring situation like in metro DC area?

I have been dating an incredible man in DC long distance and although I love the frequent flier miles I have been building in the process, we have both decided that things are definitely pointing toward permanency. So, it looks like I may need to start job searching in the DC area.

I am a cardiac RN with three years experience on a very busy, high acuity telemetry/step down cardiology.

What's the job market like in DC these days?
