Hey nurses!!! I'm moving to the DC metro area and I'm trying to find an ED. I have experience but there are so many hospitals I don't know where to start. So if anyone can give me any pointers, I'm all ears.

    Thanks in advance!!!!

  4. Hello!
I am a new nurse and have not yet worked in any D.C. EDs, but I have done alot of research on some of the area hospitals and have toured a few. I currently work in a level one trauma center in St. Louis, so I have some idea about what you might be looking for. If you want a level 1 trauma center, Washington Hospital Center seems like a great choice. Their MedSTAR has gotten alot of attention, though it is considered separate from the rest of their ED. George Washington Univeristy Hospital is also a level 1, though it is a pretty small department. INOVA Fairfax in Virginia is supposed to be pretty nice as well. If you're willing to move to the Baltimore area, check out the Baltimore Shock Trauma. Hope this helps!
