Georgetown Accelerated BSN Program Fall 09 Interviews?

Hi Everyone!
I just received correspondence from Laura today who said they may potentially release MORE invitations to interview within the next couple of weeks - keep your fingers crossed and goodluck!

Well I am glad to see I'm not the only waiting for an invitation. I have to say I'm a bit discouraged after reading these posts. I hope I still have a chance Good luck to everyone!

Has anyone received an interview invitation this week? I wonder when they will be sending out additional invitations.

I know that the last interview date available to those who were granted interviews is April 7th, and the others were being held yesterday and today. I'd think maybe you might hear something before April if for some reason they didn't like what they saw yesterday or today, but I wouldn't be surprised if it is sometime in April before you hear further regarding additional interview invitations. Sorry for the somewhat pessimistic info, but it is also great that they are considering the possibility of granting more - good luck!

Congrats on your interview. Do you have any pointers on traveling to DC and the whole interview process ?? I will be going in late March... Thanks soo much and good luck on your interview.

I am not a D.C. local, so I had to stay in a hotel the night before. I drove into town. I stayed at the Marriott that's practically right on campus. It made the morning of the interview much less stressful since I only had to walk to St. Mary's Hall. WEAR COMFORTABLE SHOES! You will be walking a lot.

I literally just posted about the interview in another thread in this section. I felt that they really went out of their way for us. I had an entire list of questions, and all of them were answered completely by the end of the day.

I just received my invitation to interview today for April 7th! I thought this may have been an April Fools joke or something - because I really didn't think i had a chance anymore! But it also says in the email that there will be an additional interview day either late April/early May - hope this is helpful for people who are waiting to hear from georgetown as well!

Koala33 - Do they let you know after the interview if you've been accepted? I also have less than a week to make travel arrangements (I'm traveling from california!) this is all so nerve-wracking - so many questions running through my head! I'm definitely going to check out that Marriott - any other tips would be helpful

Ha, I was thinking the same thing when I received my invitation. I had completely lost hope; it seems so late. Too bad I've basically committed to going somewhere else at this point. Good luck to everyone.

No, unfortunately, I'm still waiting to hear. We were told that decisions would be released all together sometime right around Easter.

Hi sasagrrrl - looks like I'll be seeing you next Tuesday (that was the day for which I had scheduled my interview)! Congrats on getting the offer! I live and work in DC and have been here for 5+ years. Hopefully you won't have too difficult of a time booking a room next week since it is the Cherry Blossom Festival this weekend! The Key Bridge Marriot is definitely pretty close, but there is hotel called the Georgetown Inn that is even closer. Not sure about the rates though, but they are probably not that much different. Also, there are a bunch of hotels in the West End/Foggy Bottom that aren't too far away from where we have to go - there is a Marriott there too (I think it is the West End Marriott), and Embassy Suites, a Renaissance Hotel, and I think another Embassy Suites right in Foggy Bottom on 24th Street - you have a lot of options. Also, I'd recommend cabbing there since parking is scarce and the buses are unreliable. The cabs are metered now, so they drivers don't take advantage of visitors so much any more ; )
