Hurricane Relief in Buras,LA

Hello Everyone,

Emergency Communities is a grassroots organization that provides a sense of community for the survivors of Hurricane Katrina through meals, laundry and internet services, kids programs and more. They are currently looking for volunteer nurses at their community center in Buras, Louisiana- where the hurricane first made landfall.

I am a nursing student in NYC and spent part of my spring break working in their soup kitchen. It was an incredible experience that I'll never forget and always cherish. When I heard they were trying to find a nurse for their Buras location, I decided to post here in hopes that someone is searching the forum for an opportunity to bring a warm smile and much needed attention to this devastated area.
